New Year's Eve with the Hurricanes (and the in-laws)

So the little lady, our little guy, and the little lady's parents, brother, and sister-in-law all braved the North Carolina cold and went to see the Hurricanes take on the Atlanta Thrashers in a nice inter-division showdown for New Year's Eve (was that a run-on sentence?). Although my father-in-law describes all hockey players as "trannys," I am convinced my mother-in-law is a closet hockey fan. The strongest evidence of this is that, when a defenseman takes a booming slapshot from the point, she'll scream "LOOK OUT!"

Anyway, Carolina's Sergei Samsonov had two goals in a 3-1 win.
